1. Structural description and dimensions
The fuse consists of a melt tube, a porcelain sleeve, a fastening flange, a rod-shaped pillar insulator and a wiring end cap. The terminal cap and melt tube at both ends are fixed in the porcelain sleeve by press-fitting method, and then the ceramic sleeve is fixed on the rod-shaped pillar insulator with a fastening flange.
The melt tube uses raw materials with high silicon oxide as an arc extinguishing medium, and a small diameter metal wire is used as a fuse. When the overload current passes through the melt tube with a short-circuit current, the fuse immediately fuses, and the arc occurs in several narrow slots connected in parallel. The metal steam in the arc penetrates into the quartz sand and is strongly freed, which quickly extinguishes the arc. Therefore, this fuse has good performance and a large breaking capacity.
High-voltage fuses are suitable for short-circuiting and overload protection between transmission lines and power transformers. It is the simplest electrical appliance to protect power equipment from damage.

2. Usage environment
High-voltage fuses are suitable for altitude of 1,000 meters; the ambient temperature is not higher than +40℃, and not lower than -40℃; it is not suitable for places with combustion, danger, violent vibration, swing impact, and heavy pollution areas.
3. Installation and use
The fuse is allowed to be installed horizontally or vertically.
When the data of the melt tube does not match the voltage and rated current of the circuit, it shall not be connected to the circuit for use.
After the melt tube is fused, the user can disassemble the wiring cap by himself and replace the melt tube with the same specifications and performance requirements.
